The Center for Innovation and Bioinformatics (CIB) is part of NCRI at Massachusetts General Hospital. Our center designs, supports, and manages clinical research in neurological disorders.  We are developing novel ways to harness and interpret data sets generated from patient information that are so large and complex, traditional approaches simply are not feasible. The end goal of our data-specific programs: to help our collaborators to better understand rare conditions, more quickly diagnose these disorders, and ultimately develop new or better treatments.

We are equipped to handle a variety of "Big Data" projects. Whether the project needs data capture, data aggregation or data anonymization, the CIB has a tool or platform that fits the bill. The features of these tools allow for everything from simple data collection, to data mapping, de-identification and aggregation of complex data sets into a single usable pool of information.
