The ability to cure a disease hinges on many things, mainly patient participation and data quality. The Center for Innovation and Bioinformatics utilizes several tools and platforms to maximize patients’ participation efforts as well as ensure the data is of an exceptional caliber for analysis. The heart of NeuroBANK® is in prospective data collection for Natural History projects. PharmaENGINE™ provides a secure, robust electronic data capture system for clinicians to record data collected during research visits. PRO-ACT is a tool that has been used to create Big Data sets by mapping individual data sets to one common data structure, creating a standard Big Data set. All CIB systems data may also be linked to our Biobank system, which tracks tissue and biofluid samples.
